Announcements - Monday, December 8
Congratulations to Helena Donnenwerth, Alexandra Neemen, and Lily Pittman. These singers were selected to participate in Regional Honors Choir this past weekend! They worked diligently to learn music on their own for the event. Upon arrival, they were quizzed on their memorization and auditioned for the next steps of the process. Then they rehearsed all day and performed a concert tonight. Fantastic job! After the performance, State Honors Choir selections were posted, and we are so proud to announce that Alexandra Neeman and Lily Pittman were selected! They will be learning more music and going to Grand Rapids in January for their quiz, rehearsals, and performance! We are so proud of all three singers!
It was a great weekend for Big Reds Wrestling! Men’s Varsity team dominated the Toys For Tots Wrestling Tournament. Taking first place out of 14 teams. JV competed at the Richmond Invite Saturday with several place winners and three wrestlers took home the gold.
Women’s Varsity team wrestled close to 40 matches Sunday at the Richmond women’s invitational with victories over the toughest women from across the State.

Congratulations to the Chippewa Valley HS Big Reds Marching Band on their first-place score from the parade band adjudicators at the Detroit Thanksgiving Parade! This marks the 5th time Chippewa has achieved this honor in the last 12 years, finishing in first place in 2013, 2016, 2019, 2023 and 2025.

Remember applying early increases your chances to get in. Also submitting your FAFSA ASAP is important to qualify for financial aid and is needed for free college at Macomb.
